Chris Davis – Senior Pastor -

Chris Davis comes to Virginia from serving as Pastor of Whitton Avenue Bible Church in Phoenix, AZ for the past 11 years. He is a graduate of Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama with a major in Piano Performance. He received his Master of Divinity from Phoenix Seminary in Phoenix, Arizona. He was ordained by his home church, Harp’s Crossing Baptist Church (SBC) in Fayetteville, GA. 

He and his wife Rachael have four children: Sophia, Stephan, Marcus, and Samuel. Chris enjoys creating short family films and playing backyard sports with his family.

Jerry Frazier – Associate Pastor -

Jerry Frazier, Associate Pastor since 1998, has as his life verse, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. (Proverbs 3:5-6).  His duties as Associate Pastor include Christian education, administration, and pastoral care.

Jerry has been in vocational ministry for nearly forty years serving churches in Missouri prior to moving to Virginia. He is a graduate of Southwest Baptist University with a degree in Speech/Drama and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary with a Master’s Degree in Christian Education.  He also served as a Missionary Journeyman in Kobe, Japan with the International Mission Board.

His passions in ministry are preaching, Bible teaching and equipping others to grow in their faith. His hobbies include woodworking, reading and exercising. He is an avid fan of James Madison University football and St. Louis Cardinals baseball. He and his wife, Ellen, have one adult son, Allen. 

Dallis Byrne – Worship and Music Leader -

Dallis received her bachelor of music in performance and education from Ithaca College in 1995 and a master’s degree in vocal performance from the University of Louisville in 2004. Before coming to Groveton, she was the Soprano Soloist and Cantor at Holy Trinity Church in Georgetown, Washington, DC from 2004 through 2008.

In addition to her duties at the church, Dallis is the Upper and Middle School Choir Director at St. Stephen’s & St. Agnes School (SSSAS) in Alexandria. She is also the musical director for the annual musical at SSSAS. Her husband Matthew is a member of The United States Army Band “Pershing’s Own.” They have two children, Macadger and Madelyn.

Deborah Lloyd – Accompanist -

Deborah began her career as a church organist at the age of ten. Subsequently she received a bachelor’s degree from the Eastman School of Music, a masters from Michigan State University, and a doctorate from the University of Maryland. She has served as Groveton’s organist, pianist and choir accompanist since 1998. She is currently an Associate Piano Faculty member at the Levine School of Music in Washington, D.C. and an Adjunct Piano Professor at Northern Virginia Community College. She has performed at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, as well as throughout the United States and Europe.

Gina Arcenas – Office Manager -

Originally from the Philippines, Gina came to Virginia with her husband, Emmanuel, and daughter, Jenny, to do Filipino Missions. She is a graduate of the University of Mindanao with a Bachelor of Science of Commerce, major in Accounting. She worked with the Foreign Mission Board (now International Mission Board) of the Southern Baptist Convention in the Philippines at the Baptist Student Ministry before coming to the U.S.

Beginning in 1997 Gina worked at Groveton for over four years as the part-time secretary to the Minister of Recreation and Education. During this time their son Jeremy was born. Gina left Groveton to work in the corporate world, but God had other plans for her. After more than eight years she came back full circle to work at Groveton again as Office Assistant in March 2010. In April 2012, she became the Office Manager.She currently teaches the Preschool Sunday school and leads the Women’s Ministry at Groveton. "And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men" Colossians 3:23

Glenn Corrie - Building Manager -

Glenn is originally from Rhode Island where he spent most of his adult life as an auto mechanic. He moved to Virginia in 1995 and started working at Groveton as our building manager. In that capacity he is responsible for all building scheduling, maintaining the heating and air conditioning system, and the supervision of part-time workers. He has one adult daughter, three grandsons, and two great-grandchildren.  He met Vilma at Groveton, and they married in 2010. In his off time, he is studying aviation.

Glenn serves as an usher for worship services and assists in the church’s Robin Department, a class for special needs individuals.
